Mohammad Mamun Mia is a prominent face among young change makers of Bangladesh as he served five years as the President of United Nations Youth and Students Association of Bangladesh (UNYSAB) while enthusiastically contributing in youth development and empowerment, public policy and awareness building.

He still serves UNYSAB as a Member of the Trustee Board. Moreover, He was the first elected President and one of the founders of Dhaka University Model United Nations Association (DUMUNA) which is the pioneering university based MUN organization of Bangladesh. He achieved several landmarks of community services in student life which crafted his passion towards public policy and governance; shaping his early career as a social worker. He holds an MSS in International Relations and a BSS in International Relations both from University of Dhaka. Mamun began an early career in 2012 as a Mentor of AMRA KAJ KORI (AKK) under the Climate Change Adaptation and Risk Reduction Project of ActionAid, Bangladesh. Since 2013, he served as a Program Coordinator of Democratic Budget Movement under ActionAid, Bangladesh for five years. Currently, he is serving as Executive Director in The Earth Society. Mamun organized 21 Model United Nations conferences in different educational institutions of Bangladesh which is a unique and globally outstanding landmark.

His contributions gifted him an enormous network of youth and students around the country and earned him a great reputation in the government. He led multiple Bangladeshi Youth delegations several times in USA, Australia, Japan, South Korea, India and Nepal. His promising performance and strong determination towards a developed society is widely recognized by the governance and public policy practitioners of Bangladesh.
